Book #3: The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

So. TFiOS. I just… I don’t know how to eloquently talk about this book.
It’s Fucking Good.
This book convinced me that John Green is secretly the most insightful human being ever. His narrator is a 16 year old female. John Green is NOT a 16 year old female*. And yet, he seems to understand the plight that is nerdy girls better than anyone else seems to.
I got my copy at 9am, started it at about 10 and finished it by 1. I was a sobbing wreck for the last hour of reading (which is why it took an hour - I could barely see the pages) and yet, I kept reading. I didn’t wipe my eyes, or stop to calm down. No, I had to keep reading, I had to know what was going to happen to Hazel and Gus. I. Had. To. Know.
Let me put it this way: if you don’t read this book, you will be neglecting yourself. This book will make you a better you.
Read it. Like right now.
And then go get all his other books and read them too.
*I realize that authors are not their narrators. But the depths to which John Green unveils and understands Hazel just astounds me. The nerdy teenage female is not an easily understood person.
